What He Gives He Can Take

Son,take care not to pride in worldly things It is Him who gives and Him takes boldly Daughter,do not boast of beautiful endings He can take everything you treated fondly When others struggle don't call them stupid  He who gave you saw it fit to deny them When they do well you at once become livid  When they beg you spit at 'em with phlegm That beauty withers like spring rose flowers The shape too is temporal ask your granny Remember to thank the one who  bestows Even when you are winning the grammy The adorable family you have belongs to him Like a rented thing, the owner can claim it Like a tenant you cant cling to  it or whim For what He Gives, He can take believe it  Son,be humble for humility is priceless Daughter,be grateful for it costs less Shun those who are proud and loud Keep my wise words and read them aloud

Quest For Love

In my quest to find you I lost myself  I blindly gave my heart out And denied me myself I  rejoiced seeing you happy While forgetting to make self happy.  When you left i cried and begged But in leaving you were happy. No day passes without thinking of you I hope you too do when making out With that man you claim to love.

African Full Moon

The shining African full moon Brings back nostalgic memories Moments we shared as children As we fully enjoyed our innocence In the shining nights we would sit Playing games in halfly lit nights We'd rush to the house, open the pot And refill githeri supply in our pockets Nothing mattered at that point to us Not even the shouting of our mother Nor the danger lurking glaringly as  A thief ready to rob a rich  brother Shirtless, shoeless and senseless We shrieked at the top of voices Cursing, singing, riddling, narrating Till we fell asleep in the open ditches

Love In The Dumpsite

We met for the first time at the site You collecting paper bags and i plastics Our eyes met and it was love at first sight On our way home we lit the match sticks We had no candles nor torch for light But our hearts shone like red lip sticks For it was love that was more than love In my makeshift house we made dinner And spread the jerry cans cum tables Not even the foul smell of the litters In the dumpsite outside could stop us Collecting plastics daily became our life They talked about us e'ry where we passed They wished they could love with love that Was more than ours, even those with cars Jealousy made them snatch you from me In the rehab they claimed that you were mad Not knowing you were mad for me and my love Oh Nasibo, come back to me. Bring back my love to the site Where we fell in love at first sight.

Heroes Became Villains and Villains Heroes

In a land not far away a fight broke out Impunity drove  the young to the street To go and salvage what was left of the nation From the jaw of the corrupt parliamentarian Armed to the teeth with flag, phone and placards They marched tirelessly in the gruesome heats Chanting freedom songs in unison they went And gained access to the rogue parliament For hours, even though few,the nation was free Of thiefs and cons who stole the soil and tree, Took advantage of our struggling economy, Economy they had plundered in glee  The emancipators were then hit with copper Their bodies were deformed like a molester The sniper on the roof took them out one by one Not minding the glaring lens of the media man The Chief Liar then stood on the podium Heartily,he thanked the villain for killing Killing the emancipator who raised his arm To protest against wanton wastage and stealing For the emancipators,he called them treasonous criminals Who deserved to die the way they did  For their...

Wild Women You Forgot

We are the wild women you forgot The ones in schools they taught  From far we have been brought To far lands we are going to fight We are the women you despised The ones whom evryone down trod We was called a generation-failed Only to for us to rise and high soared We are the women you didn't educate Saying that was reserve for the fortunate Still we passed in life exam thanks to fate In business and homes we are doing great We are the women that braved mockery For our looks, shape, complexion, sanitary We braced for years your scorn and battery All that we did was termed unsatisfactory We are the women running the industries We are the force behind tech revolutions In aviation we are piloting massive 777s In armies we are the platoon generals We are the women that never gave up We are the women that never broke up We are the women to, others look up We are the women that you brought up

The Oasis

The beautiful oasis from afar stands out Surrounded by fairly cut marigold thicket The clear water in the hole quests thirst I often yearn to draw and swim in it At the slight touch of my water gourd  Water in the oasis create a ripple crowd The gourd drips droplets on the marigold Replenishing everything and all is cured My water gourd wet goes inside again  The oasis does not complain or bargain The gourd's touch makes it want to gain Urging my gourd the speed to maintain At last the gourd hits the water surface A fountain gushes out and hits my face The warm water falls on the right place Soon afterwards the gourd falls and breaks
