They no longer call you the sleeping giant,

The Dark Continent,The Heart of Darkness.


Sports Men and Women carry your name 'gh

They fear getting on the tracks with us neigh

Your music and beats are an anthem in leigh

Arise and Shine Mama Africa


Your dark skin an epitome of resilience

Your tall stature a symbol of strength

Different tongues a show of diversity

They are envious of you mama Africa
