I am My Mother's Savage Daughter

I am my mother's savage daughter The one whom everyone seeks after They silence me,asking me to cut hair Yet they know this is not at all fair I wear my ladyhood crown with pride For this i have got nothing to hide They want to tax my beauty and blood To no longer afford cosmetics and pad I stand out to be counted with other women Leading protests against these bold conmen They must feel and see our wrath fully Even though us they are trying to bully You can arrest me but my mothers blood  Protects me. It fiercely flows like a flood Sweeping everything  on it's path Not bullets can scare me. Even death! I am my mother's savage daughter I protest for my  happily ever after I protest for your and yours' better future You who is shooting me and  my mpiga picha I fight so that your daughters will smile As they pilot planes for many a mile As they occupy spaces in the tech field Why not join hands and fight this feud?

THE FIVE PILOTS

Five happenstance found themselves buying In the same joint, intoxicatedly having fun Unbeknownst to pains of the others laughing Each Set off with their plane of choice,to get high The first one pulled his green leaves out  Like a goat he chewed, till froth formed He said that he invented the parachute The others stopped their flight and laughed The second one poured his flour on the table Like a pig he bagan snorting, little by little Twenty Minutes later to stand he was unable His bones had immediately turned too brittle The third his bottle held tightly to his heart He drank away his sorrows and tears And told the others never to get a sweetheart For marriage life he lamented was fierce  The fourth, this while an old paper in hand He started rolling the seeds. Saliva the glue That held the substance in place,at last gland He lit it. 'Wah,Jack Oyah,Listen to this clue In Zion i'll be the lead singer for Jah's band' Like a steam engine, dark smoke to skies he blew The fif...

I SHOT THE SHERIFF

It was i who shot the sheriff Now they claim that i am guilty They are tracking me down Led by the police deputy He was an ugly and fat baboon With money and a Toyota Saloon Five stars on his uniform-a marshal To shoot he needed not a rehearsal Mine beautiful wife he long coveted  Money and car had he and i not Every week flowers he brought While sweat i broke building the road All this while i knew but so what  A man with no money is like a man With a broken hand; no use they got He provided both on the plate and the bed On that fateful day i said enough is enough With my month's salary a gun i purchased, Headed home and waited in the trough. Toyota Saloon came and under a tree parked Ten minutes later giggles turned to moans My wife was in pain but she seemed to enjoy The scene i beheld until now still pains That betrayal i would  no longer buy My Ak-47 firmly in hand i held: one eye  On the target the other closed for range The trigger with the index finger ...

The following week the police harassed him and all of them, home were sent. He picked his carton and its belongings He cursed the government and the big man "For 20 years i sold my sweets here. A big mall stands where he used to sell  and Big cars of the buyers there are packed 24/7 None of the items sold here can he afford Isn't he jobless and hopeless after all? Adjacent to the mall, the big road now passes Heavy traffic day and night, of slaves in cars Others on twos, going to and from work. The street is clean. No trees an...
